Nitish Bharadwaj (born on 02 June 1963 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India) is an Indian Actor, Director, Producer, and Screenwriter. Nitish is mainly known for his work in Mahabharat (1988) as Lord Krishna. Nitish completed his school studies at Gokhle Education Society's DGT High School, Mumbai, and completed college studies at Bombay Veterinary College, Mumbai. Nitish is a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and BSc qualified. Nitish joined BJP in 1995 and was a BJP member till 2007. Nitish married Monisha Patil in 1991 but got divorced in 2005. Nitish and Monisha had one son and one daughter. Later he married IAS officer Smita Gate in 2009. Smita and Nitish had two twin daughters Devyani and Shivranjani. Nitish's father is Janardan Upadhyay (Senior Advocate of Bombay High Court and a veteran labour lawyer) and his mother is Sadhana Upadhyay (Head of the Marathi Literature department of Wilson College, Mumbai). Nitish made his director debut with Pitruroon (2013) which got a positive response and several awards. Nitish made his Hindi movie debut with Trishagni (1988) and made the TV show debut with Mahabharat (1988). Nitish mostly played several Hindu mythological god characters. In total, he acted in 16+ movies, 06+ TV shows, and 02 web series. Nitish Bharadwaj's acting is always loved and appreciated.
