Nana Patekar (born as Vishwanath Patekar on 01 January 1951 in Murud-Janjira, Kolaba, Bombay State, India) is Indian Actor, Writer, and Director. Nana worked in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Kannada movies. Nana is mainly known for his work in Ab Tak Chhappan (2004), Welcome (2007), Welcome Back (2015), Rajneeti (2010), and Parinda (1989). Nana completed his school studies at Samarth Vidyalaya, Dadar West, Mumbai, and completed diploma studies at Sir J.J. Institute of Applied Arts. Nana Patekar does not believe in religion. Nana married Neelkanti Patekar and this couple had 02 son Malhar Patekar, one son is died. Nana and Neelkanti are seprated now. Nana Patekar father is Businessman his name is Gajanand Patekar and his mother name is Nirmala Patekar. Nana has two brothers Ashok and Dilip Patekar. Nana made a Bollywood movie debut with Gaman (1978), made Marathi movie debut with Sinhasan (1979), made Tamil movie debut with Bommalattam (2008), and made Kannada movie debut with Yaksha (2010). In total, he acted in 80+ movies including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Kannada movies. Nana made his debut as a director with Prahaar: The Final Attack (1991) and made his debut as a narrator with Phir Hera Pheri (2006). Nana Patekar's unique comedy is always loved by the audience. He won Padma Shri (2013) for his acting work. Nana is the only actor ever to win Filmfare Awards in the Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Villain categories. Nana was a sketch artist for the Mumbai police before starting an acting career. He sketched suspects and helped the police. Nana's acting is always loved and appreciated.

MeToo Controversy: Actress Tanushree Dutta filed a complaint against Nana Patekar and others in 2008 and in 2018. The complaint filed for molestation and obscenity during the shooting of Horn 'Ok' Pleassss (2009). In June 2019, Patekar was cleared of the sexual harassment charges.
