Jeevan, born as Omkar Nath Dhar (on 24 October 1915 in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir, British India – 10 June 1987), was an Indian actor who mainly worked in Hindi movies. His role of Narad Muni in mythological movies of the 1950s is always loved. In a total of 49 times, he worked as Narad Muni. Actor Jeevan holds the world record of playing Narad Muni in 49 films. Later, he played a negative role in popular Bollywood films of the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. Jeevan married Kiran and they had two sons Kiran Kumar, Bhushan Kumar, and two daughters Nikki Jeevan, Rikki Ugra. His son Kiran Kumar (born as Deepak Dhar) is also a Bollywood and TV actor. Bhushan Kumar also worked in many movies as an actor. Actor Jeevan was born on 24 October into an aristocratic Kashmiri Pandit family. His grandfather, a nobleman, served as the Governor of the Gilgit Agency. He lost his father when he was 03 years old, and his mother died during childbirth. He has a total of 23 brothers and 01 sister. He made his Bollywood debut with the movie Anuradha in 1940. Jeevan had dreamed of working in movies from childhood. So he came to Mumbai for working. Then he got the work to put the silver paper on wood which used as a background in movies. During this work because of a shortage of actors, he got a chance for acting. His acting talent is loved by everyone after he got the opportunity to work in movies. Kala Dhanda Goray Log in 1986 was Jeevan's last movie. On 10 June 1987 at age of 71 in Bombay, Maharashtra, India Jeevan died.
