Dev Anand (born as Dharamdev Pishorimal Anand on 26 September 1923, in Shakargarh, Punjab, British India (present-day Punjab, Pakistan)) is a film actor, writer, director, and producer. Dev Anand is one of the most successful actors in the 19s. Dev Anand worked in more than 110+ movies. Dev Anand's father was Pishori Lal Anand who was an advocate. Dev Anand is had three brothers Advocate Manmohan Anand, Vijay Anand, and Actor-Producer-Director Chetan Anand. Dev Anand has one sister Sheel Kanta Kapur. Dev Anand is born into a Hindu family. Dev Anand completed his school studies from Sacred Heart School, Dalhousie, and college studies from Government College, Lahore. Dev Anand was a B.A. Literature qualified. Dev Anand married actress Kalpana Kartik in 1954, in 2011 Kalpana Kartik is died. Dev Anand and Kalpana had one son Suneil Anand and one daughter Devina Anand. Suniel Anand is the director and actor. Dev Anand debuted in Hindi movies with Hum Ek Hain (1946). Dev Anand made debut as a producer with Afsar (1950)and as a director with Prem Pujari (1970). Chargesheet in 2011 was Dev Anand's last movie in which he acted. Dev Anand was in a relationship with actress Suraiya Jamal Sheikh but due to nonallowance from Suraiya's grandmother, they both got separated. In London Dev Anand Died at the age of 88 on 3 December 2011 (4 December 2011 I.S.T.) due to cardiac arrest. Dev Anand got Padma Bhushan in 2001 as an appreciaion of his works.
