Dilip Kumar (born as Muhammad Yusuf Khan on 11 December 1922 – 7 July 2021) is an Indian actor and philanthropist. Dilip Kumar worked in more than 60+ movies. Dilip Kumar has won 08 Filmfare Awards and is the first recipient of the Filmfare Best Actor Award (1954). Dilip is a former Member of the Indian Parliament ("Rajya Sabha") by the Indian National Congress for the period 2000–2006 from Maharashtra. Dilip Kumar's father's name is Lala Ghulam Sarwar he was a landlord and his mother's name is Ayesha Begum. Dilip had five brothers Nasir Khan, Ehsan Khan, Aslam Khan, Noor Mohammed, and Ayub Sarwar. Dilip had six sisters Fauzia Khan, Sakina Khan, Taj Khan, Farida Khan, Saeeda Khan, Akhtar Asif. Dilip Kumar is born into a Muslim family. He completed his school studies at Barnes School, Deolali, Nashik district, Maharashtra. Dilip Kumar had a long relationship with actress Madhubala but never married her. Dilip Kumar married actress Saira Bano in 1966. Dilip Kumar later married Asma Rehman in 1980 but got divorced in 1982. Dilip Kumar has no children. Saira Bano was pregnant in 1972 but developed high blood pressure in her 8th month of pregnancy and the doctors couldn't save the child, which had been strangulated by the umbilical cord. After that, they did not try to have children believing that it was God's will. He is known as Tragedy King because adding real life in his movies. Dilip Kumar is fluent in Urdu, Hindi, Hindko, Punjabi, Awadhi, Bhojpuri, Marathi, English, Bengali, Gujarati, Pashto, and Persian. Dilip Kumar got Padma Bhushan (1991), Nishan-e-Imtiaz (1998), and Padma Vibhushan (2015) for the appreciation of his work. Dilip Kumar debuted in Bollywood movies with Jwar Bhata in 1944. He acted last in Qila in 1998. He won eight Filmfare Awards for Best Actor and
Dadasaheb Phalke Award (1994). Dilip Kumar is the last living male actor from Bollywood's Golden Age of movies.
